My Mom's 60th!

We had a GREAT party for my mom's 60th. Everyone had a great time and I think it is a party my mom will never forget... I think I saw a smile on her face the entire day.

My brother made my mom's spaghetti and meatball recipe for 30 plus people and it was DElicious!

Robinhood Himself!

My sister-in-law warned me this would happen! Taking thousands of pictures of other peoples kids = not taking many pictures of your own kids! I have been slacking, and I am going to try to have my camera more handy around the house from now on.

We are so pround of Mitchell as he continues to score lead roles in plays and put on great performances. He is such a natural, as I have said before:) Once again, Joel and Grant seriously enjoyed watching Mitchell on stage, although they did somewhat struggle with the concept of Robinhood not yielding a sword at any point during the play. You see, the program had a picture of Robinhood with a sword, so EVERY single scene they asked WHEN he would have his SWORD! Finally, a new scene... waiting for the lights to come on, but it appears Robinhood has his sword... Joel and Grant are practically cheering... lights come on... Robinhood is roasting a hotdog on a stick... Joel and Grant are so bummed, thank goodness there were no tears.

Another Husky Hockey Date

Attempting to get a little caught up on the blog. I just found this picture of Jeff and Grant from their Husky Hockey daddy date. Grant is showing off his new hat and he had a blast at the game. While Joel was NOT a fan of the horn, Grant did not seem to mind.

Bey Blade Misfire...

Sad, sad, sad, but true... just a few weeks after our black friday TV purchase, a bey blade destroyed it! We believe it to be an accident, but it was still hard to swallow. Nothing could be done, as there is no type of protection that covers an accident like this one for TVs. I am wayyyy behind in posting this, but this could hardly be a complete family blog without recording this incident in the books to never be forgotten. And no... Bey Blades are no longer allowed in the same room as the TV :) and yes... we did purchase a new TV, and we even decided to go a little bigger... not sure why... I guess we are just hoping this is a one-time thing... :)

One More Year...

... but still in his 30's for one more year:)  Happy 39th Birthday Jeff!

The boys picked out most all of the goodies for Jeff... Grant hand-selected the Star Wars t-shirt, Joel picked football cards, Mitch some classic episodes of the Cosby Show, and I picked a couple of Jeff's favorite treats, Butterfingers and Nutterbutters.

... is NOT supposed to look like this! I haven't checked yet, but I think it was in the FIFTIES today!?!?! I dont' EVER remember anything like this before, am I right! I was surprised the kids didn't want to be outside more than they were, but it was fun to be out there enjoying the sunshine and warmth. I will be very surprised if we are doing anything similar next week at this time...
