Kee-Nee-Moo-Sha: Year 2

It was impossible to narrow down the pictures from our week long vacation to KNMS resort last week. Despite having technical problems, and only (as of now) being able to download half of the pictures off of my camera, there is still a LONG spread of pictures below.

We were rewarded with a beautiful week of weather this year (well deserved after last year's week long string of 50 degree days at the resort), and they kids swam all but one day. Joel already asked me today if we could go back. I said, Yes, we are going back next year. I think he is thinking that next year is more like tomorrow, but it's good to know that they had such a good time.

Our little cabin "3B", located right in front of th beach, pictured above.

Joel and Grant on the water totter, which they much preferred on land.

Aunt Terri and cousin Jayna, going for a float.

This is how Grant could be found the entire week. Casually walking around in the water, sticking close to shore ,with this life jacket AND floatie on. You would think that he could not possibly need to be rescued from a drowning situation with these flotation devices on, but... believe or not, he managed to get into a drowning position with both of these on, just his life jacket on, as well as one time with no life-jacket on. Yes, he was rescued (baywatch style) 3 times during the week. We realized that if Grant loses his balance, even for a second, in the water, he COMPLETELY panics and could drown even with a life jacket on!

Grant, alone out on the raft... (just kidding), Jeff is right next to him, again, trying to convince him to jump off.

Grant's first ( and last) trip down the slide with Jeff.

Mitch's first attempt at knee-boarding...

was a ...

success!

And who's this cutie-pie that finally learned how to smile for the camera:)

And who's THIS cutie-pie who would never DREAM of smiling for the camera:)

Jeff and Mitch, trying to talk Grant into jumping off the raft. They did not succeed. ... maybe next year!

Neither of the boys were fans of being in water where their feet couldn't touch. I think it's time to start some swimming lessons to get them a bit more accustomed to it.

Joel and Grant, sitting in front of a bucket of Lincoln's parade candy, with no idea that I was watching them as they sat there eating all they wanted.

Paddle boat ride with dad.

Feeding some very tame ducks near our cabin.

Grandma and Lincoln trying out the water totter (a big hit on the beach which Aunt Terri and Uncle Jon bought).

Grandma and Lincoln, 10 seconds later, off the water totter!

Floating with Grandpa!

Grant, loving the tire swing

It was a 2 bedroom cabin, so these were the sleeping arrangements... I thought it was a little risky having Grant out of his crib for the first time ever, on vacation at the cabin, but he surprised me and it worked great. They thought it was special and fun to all be sleeping in the same room. I'm not exactly sure if Mitchell felt the same, as you can see above, Grant preferred to sleep sideways with his feet near Mitchell's head, but they were all so tired by the time they went to sleep, it didn't even matter.

Nice fish Mitch! Is it just me, or is he hugging the fish... lucky me, I got to wash that sweatshirt:)
Boat ride to Longville for ice cream!

As you can imagine, by the time Grant was finished, there was ice cream dripping down both of his legs, front and back.

Jeff, with his relaxed, vacation smile.

My sister-in-law Terri and I like to relax, by reading, on vacation. we each read a couple books during the week.

OH, I SO want to be there! It looks wonderfully fun and maybe even a titch relaxing! WOW! Joel's grown up smile by the lake is to die for, and Grant's genuine happiness on the swing is so sweet. You look waaaay too nice to be on vacation though, girl! Even in a cabin, you clean up nice :).
