Kee-Nee-Moo-Sha 2011

KNMS was a blast this year. Despite a late arrival by Mitch and Jeff (baseball tourney), an all day hospital visit by Jeff on Tuesday, and a day early departure for my brother's wedding on Friday morning, we still managed to squeeze in lots of everything and lots of fun. The weather was HOT, but that was okay with us (we had 6 fans going in our cabin). The kids literally, and I mean literally lived in their swimsuits everyday and were in the water from morning until night. This year was a whole different game for swimming than last year. Joel was a nearly full-fledged swimmer, and although we chose to have him wear his life jacket when he went out a bit, due to his new-found bravery, he was just about okay with swimming without a life jacket as well. Grant was a bit more timid in the water, but it was a BIG improvement from last year and he thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. And I thoroughly enjoyed no more swim diapers and cleaning them up!

The boys wanted to go out one night with flash lights "looking for monsters"
pushing trucks around the grounds... always a favorite at KNMS

Joel is in love with his cousin Lincoln's "Bey Blades" and asked to play them constantly all week. Lincoln was such a good sport about it and was always willing to let Joel play with them, even though it was sometimes hard to watch his favorite toys be in the hands of a 4 year old:)

Joel, not happy about getting dunked by Lincoln...Aunt Terri, helping Joel get revenge on big cousin Lincoln!

Ice cream social time on Sunday!
We have a tradition of sugar cereals when we go on vacations... can you tell by the twinkle in his eye that this kid loves his coco puffs:) ... it is only slightly painful for me to watch them eat sugar for breakfast... :)

puzzles with Lincoln and Jayna

Grant and his Lucky Charms!

Playing in the water with Grandma

Jumping off the raft was a favorite of the week
Joel was willing and able to go down the water slide competely on his own this year and swim back to shore.
