Build-a-Bear

Copeland Buhl (Jeff's work) took all the kids and moms to Build-a-Bear workshop this weekend and sponsored the outing... a teddy bear (and all the fun of building it) for all 16 kiddos in attendance. This is our second Saturday morning outing with the moms and kids (and a couple brave dads actually) of Jeff's coworkers. I think it's brilliant, myself... get the moms and kids out of the house for a fun Saturday morning, spend a little money on them, and what happens at Copeland Buhl on a Saturday morning during tax season?... you have the employees working hard, being productive, WITHOUT the pressure from spouses/kids to PLEASE hurry and get home for family time. End result= moms and kids have fun and employees are working longer on Saturday, being more productive. Sounds like a win-win for all:)Grant, in line, with his teddy (whom he easily named "Joseph"). Grant is so shy at events with lots of new faces. Although I know he had lots of fun and he went along with all the other kids, I am certain he did not crack a smile the entire time we were in the store:) He can be such a shy little boy sometimes.

Joel's choice of bear, whom he originally named "Benson" ,but then changed his mind to just "J". :)

The train of kids heading back to build their bears. The employees were a riot with the kids. You could definitely tell they had led groups of them once or twice:)

Smooshing their bear's heart in their hands before putting it into their bear. I can't remember exactly what the employee said they were doing... smooshing love into it or something?... I'm not sure...

Giving their finished teddies an air bath and "fluff"

Finished Timberwolve Bear and Soccer Bear. (Funny that Grant insisted on picking the soccer outfit, since that is one of the only sports we DON'T talk about around the house)

Copeland took us all to Big Bowl when we were done for some yummy food. The boys didn't love their "chicken nuggets", but the moms sure enjoyed it:)
